Citizens of Ft Thomas are making every effort to pass the proposed $22,000 bond issue at the special election May 1. GEORGE FULNER, President of Council:
"People of this city should take advantage of this opportunity to obtain adequate fire protection and a municipal building and at the same time be compelled to pay no more money in taxes. It is one of the best things ever brought before the voters of this city."

Following the visit of the Kentucky Insurance board to Northern Kentucky last Tuesday, it was announced that fire insurance rates had been adjusted satisfactorily. Those who appeared before the board for continued law rates was George F Fulner, Mayor of Ft Thomas.

About 200 Ft Thomas voters availed themselves of their first opportunity to have a voice in the selection of candidates for City Board of Trustees Friday night. The members of the present board are: H M Stegeman, Lincoln Donaldson, George Fulner, Benjamin Kramer and Otto Burger.

George F Fulner, 84, plumbing contractor in Campbell County for more than 50 years and president of the Monmouth Street Federal Loan & Building Association, died at his hoe, 111 S Grand avenue, Newport, Saturday. He continued active in his business and as head of the building association until a short time ago.
Mr. Fulner was a 50 years honorary member of the Olive Branch Chapter Newport Lodge of Masons No 358.
He leaves two sons, Ralph M, warrant officer stationed with the Seabees at Joliet Ill. and G M Fulner of Ft Thomas; one sister, Mrs. W O Phillips of Ft Thomas; one brother Charles of Ft Thomas and a step granddaughter, Miss Nancy Sue Coleman.
