George H Fennell, 57, prominent in Newports business world, passed away at his residence 320 Monmouth st. at 8 am today, after an illness of six weeks. Fennell was known to be seriously afflicted with an affections of the kidnes, yet his demise was not expected and his passing away came as a surprise to his acquaintances. Deceased had been a life long resident of Newport and had built up a large business as a heating engineer and contractor in heating apparatus.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 pm with services at the residence. He leaves a widow and several children. Eureka Lodge KofP of which Fennell was a member, will meet at 8 pm tonight to take action on his death.
