NEWPORT

A NEAT CRAFT-Captain George Bowen and Thomas Hoskins have in the course of construction at the foot of Monmouth street a craft. The boat is a propeller, 35 feet long and 8 feet wide. The power will be supplied by a six horse power engine. The builders are constructing the craft for their own pleasure, have in in contemplation a Southern trip, including Arkansas, and which will last the entire winter, the gentlemen intending to spend time in hunting and fishing.

The boat is to be named Harvey H, in honor of Harvey Meyers, the well known patron and promoter of aquatic sports and owner of the steam yacht Dixie. Messrs. Bowen and Hoskins will leave the first part of next month.
