FT THOMAS
Private George C Fillman, who deserted from Company B Third
Infantry, seven or eight weeks ago, was brought to the post yesterday to be
tried on a number of charges. After deserting he went over to the East End and
secured a position near the Cincinnati Waterworks. He worked there about two
weeks then skipped out, taking with him, it is said, a lot of clothing and money
which, it is alleged he had stolen from his acquaintances.
Fillman was brought here by the Cincinnati authorities to await trial for desertion.
