Services for Pvt. Gene A Wood, 20, who was killed in Korean combat Nov 7, 1950, as a member of the Army's Fourth Signal Battalion, will be held at 2 pm. Thursday at the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Dayton. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
Pvt. Wood was the son of Mrs. Irene Fesler, 319 Second avenue, Dayton. After completing school at Akron O. and before entering service, Pvt. Wood had worked at the Ball Bros. Glass Co, Muncie Ind. and as a truck helper between Lexington and Cincinnati. His death occurred near Wonsan, Korea. Besides his mother, he leaves his grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Farwell, Bridgetown O.
