Word was received in Newport Thursday of the death at Delaware Ind. of Fred Scholl, a former resident of Newport and at one time President of St Paul German Protestant congregation.
Scholl was a veteran of the Civil War, having been Sergeant in the Ohio Cavalry. Paralysis was the cause of his death. Two children survive him, Mrs. William Schwartz and Albert Scholl. The remains will be sent to Newport for burial and the funeral will take place Sunday with interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
