A warning against children skating in the streets of Bellevue was issued Saturday by Mayor Fred Klett of Bellevue. Police were ordered to seize all skates where violation of this order is found. Police have received numerous complaints from motorists. Parents were urged to cooperate with the edict.

Members of the Bellevue City Council were scolded Thursday night at their regular meeting by Mayor Fred Klett, who decided "It is time to call a halt to this petty nonsense and begin working for the best interests of the city." The past several meetings of the officials have been disrupted by one councilman criticizing another, resulting in practically nothing being accomplished at the meeting.
