NEWPORT
Fred N Franz, single, residing at 302 Columbia street, died in Michigan Saturday. He had gone there in the hopes of regaining his health. Franz was a sufferer from hay fever and went to the Les Cheneaux Island with Dr. and Mrs. Thomasson, where they had their own summer home. Yesterday a telegram was received from Dr. Thomasson by Franz's relatives, stating that he had died there, and that his body would arrive here this morning.
With the exception of the slight attack of hay fever, Franz left here in good health, expecting to have a fine two months vacation. Members of the family said last night that they did not know the cause of death and would not until the arrive this morning of Dr. Thomasson with the body.
