Lavina Rusche, 10, residing at 224 West Fourth av. Newport was struck and knocked down by an auto driven by Dr. Fischbach at Fourth and Central av. yesterday afternoon, but not badly injured. An auto had preceded Fischbach's machine and had raised great quantities of dust. The little girl walked backward directly into the path of Dr. Fischbach's auto which was being driven very slowly.

She was bruised about the head and shoulder. Dr. Fischbach stopped his machine immediately and carried her into Bankemper's grocery later taking her to her home.
