CELEBRATED ANNIVERSARY-Mr. and Mrs. Fred Erschell Sr. celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home, Seventh and York Streets, Newport, Friday night. They were waited on by a number of friends and relatives, who assisted in making the celebration a memorable one. a luncheon was served and the couple were the recipients of many beautiful gifts.
Erschell and his wife were both born in Hanover Germany, the former in 1830 and the latter two years later. Erschell came to America in 1845 and his wife in 1850. They were married in New York in 1853. In 1873 Erschell began the undertaking business. Of nine children seven are living and there are 18 grandchildren. The five daughters are Mrs. Henry Neu, Mrs. Louis Dobrenti, Mrs. George Hundinger, Mrs. Ed Constans and Mrs. William Kohl. Only two sons are living; George T and Fred A Erschell.

OLDEST UNDERTAKER IN KENTUCKY-Fred A Erschell, 76, the oldest undertaker in Northern Kentucky, died at 6 am today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Hundeman, Sixth and Monroe Sts. Newport, of cancer of the stomach. The deceased was for over a half century engaged in the undertaking and livery business and amassed a comfortable fortune. He was one of Newport's leading citizens and enjoyed the respect of the entire community and was also a member of many societies and orders. He leaves two sons and two daughters, Fred Jr. and George and Mrs. Edward Constans of St Louis and Mrs. George Hundeman, Newport.

FUNERAL-The funeral of Fred Erschell whose death occurred yesterday will take place Thursday at 2 pm with services at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hundinger, Sixth and Monroe Sts. Newport. The deceased was a member of William Tell Lodge, Odd Fellows and AOUW.

FUNERAL-The funeral of Ms. Bernandina Erschell, mother of Fred Erschell, Newport, undertaker, whose death occurred Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucy Hundinger will be held Friday with services in Vondeharr, Stetter & Erschell's chapel, Newport, Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
