Frederick William Cottrell

Kentucky Post, Wednesday, 15 June 1910, page 5

An old man by the name of William Cottrell was found Monday night roaming about the streets of Dayton and was locked up in the city jail for safe keeping over night. He was released Tuesday morning and started toward Newport where he lives.

The Dayton police were puzzled when they received a telephone message yesterday asking if they had seen him in this neighborhood. They immediately started a search for him and he was found in company with another man at the corner of Second and Main sts. He was formerly a resident of this city and one of his granddaughters who come to take him home stated he often wanders away. He is 87 years old.
