A veteran of the World War, Rev O W Robinson, delivered the address at the memorial services of the Nelson Post, GAR at the Grace M E Church, Newport, yesterday. Jacob Clos, 93, one of Newport's oldest residents and a survivor of the Civil War attended.

The other war veteran, Fred Andrews, 89, Thornton street, Newport was unable to attend because of illness.

Funeral services for Fred Andrews, 315 Thornton street, Newport, will be held at the residence Saturday at 2:30 pm. Rev Harold Barkhau will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Andrews was 91. He died Wednesday at his home following a lingering illness. Mr. Andrews was one of the three surviving members of William Nelson Post, GAR. He served as a member of the 15th Kentucky Infantry during the Civil War. He was born in Cincinnati and became a resident of Campbell county when he was one year old.

Mr. Andrews leaves five sons, Peter, Jacob, William, Fred and Harry, with whom he lived; two daughters, Mrs. Julia Nestley and Mrs. Mary Feist; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Fred A Erschell & Son, Newport, have charge of the funeral.
