Fred Brocksmith, 57, veteran of World War I, died Tuesday at Speers Hospital. He lived at 309 Monmouth street, Newport. Mr. Brocksmith held membership in the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 327 Machine Gun Club, Sportsman Club and Newport Lodge of Masons.
He leaves a brother-in-law, Clarence Kiddy, with whom he made his home for several years, and an uncle Moritz Metzner, both of Newport. Services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Erschell funeral home, Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
