Victim of Fall On Ice

Frank Twehues, 524 W. 10th st., Newport, died yesterday at Speers Hospital, Dayton, as a result of a hip fracture suffered in a fall on ice at his home, February 11.  Dr. Leo Sauter, Campbell County coroner reported.

Mr. Twehues, who was 84 years old, was a retired employee of the Green Line Bus System.  He was a member of St. Stephen Court, Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving him are five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Cochran, Mrs. Ruth Wagner, Mrs. Gertrude Faust and Miss Clara Twehues, all of Newport; Mrs. Mare Behrendt, Southgate; two sons, Frank Jr., Wilder; and Paul, Silver Grove; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow from the Radel Funeral Home, Newport.  Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Newport.  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
