Frank
Maschinot
Kentucky Post, Wednesday, 23 September 1903, page 5
Frank Maschinot, 24, died Tuesday night at Speers Hospital with tetanus lockjaw. His home is in the country near Dayton. Several days ago he stuck a wheat straw into his foot, but as the wound was trifling he paid no attention to it.
Monday he went to Dr. Richards office and told the doctor he had cramps all over his body. Dr. Richards recognized the symptoms of tetanus and hurried Maschinot to the hospital. Tetanus anti-toxin was used without relief and Maschinot died in great agony Tuesday night. The funeral arrangements have not been made.
