Frank William Doyle

T Cpl Frank W Doyle, 204 Linden avenue, Southgate, returned to his home after spending three years in the Southwest Pacific. After several weeks furlough he will report to the Army Air Forces at Miami Fla. T Cpl. Doyle has been through the New Guinea campaign and was in the invasion of Leyte. He wears the Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Ribbon, the Asiatic ribbon with three stars and has the Presidential Citation.

His visit at home is his first since September 1941, as he was stationed at March Field, Cal. when Pearl Harbor was attacked and left for overseas duty. His brother, Pvt. Robert Doyle is also in the Philippines, serving with the Construction Engineers. Their father, Frank E Doyle, is a veteran of World War I, is a member of the James Wallace Cositgan Post, American Legion, and the Forty and Eight Club. He is an employee of the Newport Post Office.
