Kentucky Post, Tuesday, 3 July 1906, page 5
John Supran, a farmer, residing on his place several miles east of Dayton Ky. while leading a horse across a field today, discovered the dead body of a man, apparently 40 years of age, lying near a creek. How long he had been there is not known, as Supran says he passed by there on Sunday and saw nothing. The man wore good shoes and apparently had no bruises on him. He was not searched by Supran and no clue can be found as to his identity. The place where he was found is near Gubser's dairy. the man had a dark mustache.
Coroner Digby visited the place this morning and found in the man's coat pocket that which leads him to believe that the dead man is Frank Douba, of 535 West Sixth st. Newport. A small box, containing Paris green and a bottle and glass were also found near the body.
