Frank H Covalt, one of the best known men in northern Kentucky and for many years active in political affairs in Newport and Campbell co. died Sunday at Colorado Springs Col. following a lingering illness. Covalt had been an invalid for years in an attempt to recover his health.
He was 66 and served two terms as city clerk of Newport and was one time Republican candidate for mayor of Newport. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Junior Order lodges.
Two daughters, Miss Grace Covalt, chief operator at South Telephone Exchange and Mrs. J M Miller of California Ky. and one son Graham D Covalt of North Carolina survive him.
