Frank Brinkman, 75, Civil War veteran, Ohio River sailor and commander and for many years collector on the Central Bridge, died at the home, 20 Retreat st. Southgate, Wednesday. He saw four years and 31 days of actual war experience an since formation of William Nelson Post, GAR, had been an active member. The GAR will hold services over the remains at the home Saturday at 2 pm. The cortège will pass to Evergreen Cemetery Chapel at 2:30 pm where last rites will be performed and interment made in Evergreen.

The funeral of Frank Brinkman, veteran of the Civil War and resident of Campbell county for over half a century, will take place Saturday afternoon from the residence on Retreat Street in Southgate. Services will be held at the chapel in Evergreen Cemetery. William Nelson Post, GAR, will have charge of the funeral.

The late Captain Frank Brinkman, of Southgate, whose funeral
was conducted Friday from the home, was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, following
service by William Nelson Post, GAR, of which the deceased was a member. Captain
Brinkman served throughout the Civil War and plied the Ohio River for more than
a half century.
