Electrician's Mate Third Class, F G "Boots" Pauly, of Bellevue
Ky. is now stationed with a ship repair unit training at the Puget Sound Navy
Yard in Bremerton, Wash. His wife, Mrs. Dorothy Pauly and their two children,
James, 6 and Rose, 2, reside at 130 Eden avenue, Bellevue.
A native of Newport, Mr. Pauly was employed by the Fox Name Plate Co. Cincinnati, for six years prior to his enlistment in the Naval Reserve. He entered the ship repair unit in January 1944, received his basic training at the San Diego Naval Repair Base, and reported at Puget Sound in November 1944 for further training.
The ship repair unit program trains Naval personnel to do repair and overhaul work which keeps combatant vessels in fighting trim.
