Newport and Cincinnati authorities were seeking Wednesday a
pretty young fortune teller who Saturday night tricked Florent Rantz, 1028 John
st. Newport and stole $90. The victim told Leo Livingston night police chief, he
was accosted by an alleged fortune teller on 620 Monmouth st.
During the course of the fortune telling Rantz said he was instructed by the woman to take his money from his pocket and hold it against his throat and rest his back in a backward position. While in this position $90 of approximately $300 was slipped from his hand. The fortune teller told him his money had been charmed and within nine days it would more than triple its value. After leaving the place Rantz discovered the disappearance of $90.
