William Flaig Saloon

Kentucky Post, Monday, 30 March 1903, page 5

William Flaig, saloon keeper at Ninth and Central Avenue, in Newport, reported that burglars attempted to gain entrance to his place late Monday night. The burglars succeeded in cutting out several slats in the shutters and raised the window.

In doing so the curtain fell and made a racket, which scared the burglars. Flaig also heard the nose and when he got downstairs saw the window open, but the burglars were gone. They failed to secure anything.
