Ferd Rentz, 71, died yesterday at the home, on East Third st. Newport, of paralysis. He leaves a widow and three children. Harry Rentz connected with the United States Post Office Department; Edward, who is in the employ of the L&N Railroad Co. and Mrs. Gossiger. He was well known by river men, having spent most of his life in the river trade. Later he was a member of the Newport Police Department. The funeral will take place tomorrow.

Ferdinand Rentz, 71, a well known resident of Newport, where he
lived all his life, died yesterday at his home on East Third street. Paralysis
was the cause of death. Mr. Rentz leaves a widow and three children, Harry Rentz,
connected with the United States Post Office Department; Edward, who is in the
employ of the L&N Railroad Company and Mrs. Gossinger.
He was well known by river men, having spent most of his life in the river trade. Later he was a member of the Newport Police Department. The funeral will take place tomorrow.
