NEWPORT NEWS

ARREST OF JUDGE BOYD-Yesterday morning Judge F A Boyd, a prominent citizen of this city, who has been absent from home a few weeks, was arrested by order of the Provost Marshal, on the charge of disloyalty, and lodged in the Newport Barracks.  It is understood that Judge Boyd returned for the purpose of surrendering himself to the military authorities, but being a little tardy about the matter, was surprised to find himself under arrest yesterday morning a few hours after his arrival in the city.

He was conveyed to the Barracks from whence he will probably be transferred to Camp Chase Ohio.
