Six Northern Kentucky youths have been reported causalities by
the War Department Thursday.
Eugene Fenton Morris, seaman second class, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morris, 309 Division street, Bellevue. Seaman Morris was killed in the performance of his duty.

Bellevue Youth's Body Not Found
Seaman Eugene Fenton Morris, 18, has been killed in action in an undisclosed station, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morris, 309 Division Street, Bellevue KY, have learned from a Navy Department telegram. The telegram revealed no details except that the body had not been found.
The youth left Bellevue High School Sep 27, 1941, to enlist. He received his basic training at Great Lakes Ill. and was home last November before reporting to the west coast for assignment to a warship. He was a seaman second class. His parents received a letter from him last month. Besides his parents he leaves a sister, Ellen.
