She Named It Evergreen
The remains of the late Miss Emma D Pagan were taken from the
vault yesterday afternoon and interred in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery.
Rev. Whitehead, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated, and paid a
beautiful tribute to the deceased, and dwelt at length on the sentiment shown
when the young lady gave the name of "Evergreen" to the beautiful site in which
she was buried.
Quite a number of friends and relatives were present at the services.
