NEWPORT
DEATH UNDER THE WHEELS-Emil Kraut, a molder, living at 714 Oliver
street, was probably fatally injured by a switch engine on the Louisville and
Nashville trestle at Finchtown, back of Newport, yesterday morning.
Kraut was on his way to work in Covington when
the accident occurred. he was hurled a distance of 30 feet and nearly every bone
in his body was broken. Menninger's ambulance removed him to St Elizabeth's
Hospital, where he died in a few hours.
