DEATH IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY
Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Corpus Christi Church, Newport, for Elmer Pelgen, 48, who died late Friday at his home, 928 Columbia street, of a heart attack.
Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the residence. Burial is to be in St. Stephen Cemetery, with Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll Newport funeral directors in charge.
Mr. Pelgen fell to the floor and died while preparing lunch just before he planned to retire Friday night. He was found on the floor by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Pelgen. The Newport Life Squad pronounced him dead.
A member of St. Stephen Court, Catholic Order of Foresters, he was also a member of the Machinists Union. He leaves his widow and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pelgen; a brother, Fred, Jr; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Kyde and Mrs. Dolores Roderick and a grandchild.
