Funeral services for Elmer H Bennett, 643 Lexington avenue, Newport, will be held at the Charles A Smith Sons funeral home, Newport, at 2:30 pm Friday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He was 51.
Mr. Bennett, a World War I veteran, died Thursday at Booth Hospital. He was a former employee of the Higgins Manufacturing Co. and his most recent employment was as cashier of the Green Line Steamers, Cincinnati. Mr. Bennett was treasurer of the First Baptist Church Sunday School, Newport for 30 years.
He leaves his widow, Alene Bennett; one daughter, Miss Virginia Bennett and his mother, Mrs. Edith Bennett, Newport librarian.
