BURNING DRESS-Ella, 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Reed, of Dayton Avenue, Dayton, had a narrow escape from being burned to death Monday morning. The child was playing in the yard, near where some leaves and rubbish were burning, when the wind blew the flames toward her, setting fire to her clothing. She ran screaming toward the house.
Just at this tie, Albert Poas, 11, came along with a bucket of milk, which he was delivering for his father. The boy, seeing the burning clothes, quickly dashed the contents of his milk pail on the flames, extinguishing them before the girl was injured.
