Elizabeth Bezold

Died August 1st, Mrs. Elizabeth Bezold, wife of Mr. Frank Bezold Sr. She was born 69 years ago in Lorain, then "French territory", and then came to this country when quite young. She was the oldest child of Mr. Francis Clark, who was the pioneer of the Twelve Mile German Settlement, as he was, I believe, the first German who bought land and settled there. He was one of the best and quietest citizens.
The deceased leaves a husband, seven children and a large number of grandchildren to mourn her loss. She was buried Sunday, August 3rd under the charge of St Mary's Society, of which she has been a member in good standing for many years. She was really a true and christian lady and the large attendance at her funeral gave evidence of her high standing in the community.
Out sympathy is hereby extended to the husband, who lost really an affectionate companion and to the children who have lost a tender and loving mother.
