Mr. Elijah Pierce, the oldest citizen of Campbell County, was in the city yesterday, looking hale and hearty. Mr. Pierce was the first man to drive a horse and dray through the streets of Cincinnati, the wheels of which dray were solid pieces of wood with a hole in the center for the axle.

This relic of the early days of the great city can be seen by any person who visits his residence on the Alexandria pike.
