NEWPORT DRUGGIST TAKEN BY DEATH
Requiem High Mass for Edwin C. Widrig, Newport druggist, will be sung at 9 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newport, following services at 8:30 a.m. at the Betz funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Mr. Widrig, Third and Saratoga streets, died Tuesday at his home. He was 63. He was brother of the late Louis C. Widrig, former treasurer of the Cincinnati Baseball Club and the father of Mrs. John T. Rawlings, wife of the former Newport city manager. For more than 40 years he conducted a drug store in Newport.
He also leaves his widow, Mrs. Adelaide Widrig; a sister, Mrs. Angela Enneking, and three grandchildren.
