Newport Exemption Board Monday mailed more than 100 notices to
Newport men notifying them their names had been certified to the district board
at Lexington. Should any of these men wish to make exemption claims, the
question should be taken up with the district board members. Following is a list
of names of men who have been passed as physically fit for service and who have
made no exemption claims.

Abandonment is charged in a suit for divorce filed Tuesday in Campbell Circuit Court by Edwin Schulte, Newport, against Kathryn Schulte. The plaintiff said they were married May 1, 1925 and his wife abandoned him Nov 18, 1926.
