TWO INJURED
The intersection of Sixth st. and Washington av. Newport, was the
scene of a disastrous collision yesterday afternoon, a Ft Thomas car crashing
into a buggy containing Edward Nestley, a dairyman, residing on Licking pike,
and his son, aged 12. Nestley had a rib broken and sustained internal injuries.
His son was bruised and cut about the body. The left hind leg of the horse
was cut off and the animal had to be shot.
Nestley was driving east on Sixth st. and saw too late that a collision was inevitable with a northbound car in charge of Motorman Klein. He attempted to turn north on Washington av. and had partly succeeded when the car struck the horse and buggy, demolishing the rig and hurling the Nestleys quite a distance. Drs. Brown and Anderson witnessed the accident and attended Nestley and his son. Later they were removed to their home.
