The bodies of 11 northern Kentucky war heroes, who lost their lives in the European Theater of Operations, are being returned to the US aboard the Army transport Haiti Victory, the Department of the Army announced Monday.

Northern Kentucky and their next of kin: Sgt. Edward J Miller Jr. Edward J Miller Sr. 1125 Third avenue. Dayton Ky.

Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 am Monday at St Bernard Church, Dayton for Sgt. Edward J Miller Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J Miller, 1125 Third avenue, Dayton. Prayers will be said at 8:30 am at the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Dayton. Sgt. Miller was killed in a bombing mission in Europe April 1, 1944. He entered the Army at Cincinnati Jan 4, 1943, and at that time was employed by the J H Dayton Co. Cincinnati. He was sent to Europe Dec 13, 1943 and was assigned to the 328th Bombardment Squadron.

He took part in nine missions and was awarded the Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Medal with bronze oak leaf cluster, the Gunners Badge, European Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He leaves besides his parents, his widow, Margaret Miller, a son, Edward J Miller, two brothers, Robert and Thomas, and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Adamson, Mrs. Jean Ackerson and Mrs. Shirley Ackerson. Military services will be conducte by Kersten-O'Day Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
