Private Edward McCarthy

The following sentences of the General Court martial approved by
the Department Commander, have announced: Private Edward F McCarthy, Company D,
Sixth Infantry, convicted of desertion, dishonorably discharged, forfeiting all
pay and allowances and to serve one year under guard at hard labor:
Harry F Shannon, Company M, Sixth Infantry, same offense, same sentence, except imprisonment is for 18 months. Both sentences are to be executed at Ft Sheridan, but they will be kept at Ft Thomas until further orders.
