FROM THE NAVY-Edward Loehr, 22, son of Constable Louis Loehr of Newport, who is a marine on the battle ship Alabama, now lying in the US Navy Yard in Brooklyn, preparatory to leaving next month for Germany, is in the city on a 10 day furlough, visiting his parents.

Ed Loehr, of the United States cruiser Alabama, who has been on furlough to his folks here, left to join his ship Tuesday night. The Alabama sails this week to join the squadron now in European waters at Kiel, Germany.

Mr. Edward Loehr has returned to Brooklyn, where he joins his ship, the Alabama, which sails for Germany during the coming week. He has been enjoying a two weeks furlough with relatives in Newport.
