Edward L Donnelly, 74, of 1620 N Ft Thomas av. Ft Thomas, retired race track official, died late Wednesdy at his home after a short illness. Heart disease is believed to have caused his death. He was a resident of Ft Thomas for more than 40 years. He was widely known in sporting circles. His work brought him in contact with almost every important horse race track in the United States.
Besides his widow, Jesse Donnelly, he is survived by three sons, Philip of Alexandria; Dr. Charles Donnelly of Birmingham, and Dr. Joseph L Donnelly of Ft Thomas and one daughter, Mrs. C H Hamilton of Ft Thomas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:30 pm from the home. Burial place has not been decided. Charles A Smith Sons, Newport undertakers, are in charge of the funeral.
