Cadet Edward S Knarr
Aviation Cadet Edward S Knarr, USNR, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Knarr, 524 Linden Avenue, Newport, recently completed his course for cadets at Walla Walla, Wash. and is now stationed at the Normal State College, Lewiston Ida.
Cadet Knarr is a former pupil of Newport High School where he became an outstanding athletic in basketball and baseball. He graduated from here in 1940. Prior to his enlistment in the Navy, Cadet Knarr was a superintendent of a department at the Wright Aeronautical Corp. Lockland O. He was termed as an expert mechanic.
