Edward J, Diedenhofer, Jr.
67, of Newport, died Tuesday at Booth Memorial Hospital. He was a retired bottler for Wiedemann Brewery, a World War II veteran and a member of the Lawler-Hanion Post No 5662 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also was a member of the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame and James Costigan Post No 11 of the American Legion. Survivors include daughters, Nancy Whiter and Betty Bolmer both of Ft. Thomas, and Phyllis Weber of Southgate; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be there from 6 to 8 tonight. with V.F.W. services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
