Edward Jarrett, who walked from New Hope, O. to Ft Thomas, a distance of 30? miles, to enlist in Uncle Sam's army of volunteers. He didn't have the funds to get there, so he thought he would walk it. He was accepted by the recruiting officer and is now wearing the blue.
