Edward M Dicken was born 7 March 1845 in Grants Lick Ky. the son of Levi and Martha (Acklin). He joined the Union Army in Camp King, Covington Ky. 15 Sep 1864 as a private in the Co C 53rd Kentucky Infantry. He mustered out 18 June 1865 in Louisville Ky. He married Sarah Frances White.

The funeral of Edward M Dicken, 76, farmer of Persimmon Grove, was held Sunday afternoon from the Persimmon Grove Methodist Episcopal Church. Dicken died Friday at his home. He is survived by his widow and three children.
