MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF A WELL KNOWN PHYSICIAN
On Saturday morning last, Dr. Edward P Dameron left his home at
California, in this county, for the purpose of paying a professional visit to
Morris Mills, which is seven miles beyond Alexandria. On Sunday morning
his horse returned home without its rider, which led to a search being
instituted resulting as above.
As there were no marks of violence visible on the body, it is supposed he fell from his horse in a fit of apoplexy and died. Dr. Dameron was an old and much respected citizen of Campbell County and his death will be much deplored.
