Edward H Schriever, 83, of 631 Nelson pl. Newport, widely known in northern Kentucky business circles, died at his home Tuesday after an illness of nearly two years. He was partially crippled in an auto accident two years ago when both his ankles were broken. He had not been in good health since, relatives said.
Despite his age Schriever continued his activities as a coal salesman until about four years ago when he retired. He was a native of Cincinnati but lived in Newport nearly 50 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Antoinette, Elizabeth and Louise Schriever and two sons, Edward J, Norwood O. and Arthur J Schriever, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday with requiem high mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Newport, at 9 am. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Schriever was a member of the Holy Name Society of the Immaculate Conception Church.
