DONALD A GROLLIG RITES WEDNESDAY-Requiem High Mass for Pfc. Donald Anthony Grollig, Bellevue soldier killed in World War II will be sung at Sacred Heart Church at 10 am Wednesday, following prayers at the A C Dobbling and Son Funeral Home, Bellevue, at 9:30 am. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery. Final military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Kersten-O'Day Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Bellevue, Dayton. The veteran's organization also will hold services at the funeral home at 8 pm Thursday.
Pfc. Grollig, who was 21, was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium on Jan 30, 1945. He was serving with the Acorn Infantry Division. He was a graduate of Bellevue High School and attended Eastern State Teachers College. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Grollig, 241 Van Voast avenue, Bellevue.
