D C Meeker, of Newport, a war veteran, is advocating a subscription by the Blue and Gray for a warship to be called the "Blue and Gray." Meeker wants her to carry eight inch, 20 six inch, four 18 inch and four 18 inch dynamite and rapid firing guns and torpedo tubes.
He also suggests the organization of the Blue and the Gray all over the country to take the subscription and forward money, the Secretary of War as custodian.
