Delegate Meeting

ALEXANDRIA
At a meeting held at Alexandria, Kentucky, on the evening of the
28th inst. for the purpose of selecting delegates to the Senatorial Convention
to be held at Falmouth on the 1st of July next, John J Thomas was called to the
chair and Peter McArthur appointed Secretary.
On motion, Thomas McDermott, W H Thomas, J P Reeny, Henry Miller and Wm Reily were appointed a committee to propose names of delegates. The committee retired for a short time, and made the following report:
"That all true Union men in the county are hereby requested to attend said Convention." After many short speeches, the meeting adjourned with three cheers for the Union.
