MUSIC DIRECTOR BURIED-Funeral of D J Winston, musician and supervisor of music in Newport public schools was held Saturday afternoon from Vonderhaar & Stetter funeral home. Newport Lodge of Masons was in charge of the rites, Rev H C Runyan, pastor of Latonia Christian Church, whose choir Winston directed and Rev W C Andreas, pastor United Brethren Church, Newport, conducted the services. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Winston lived at Fourth st. and Park av. Newport. He is survived by his widow and three grown children. School children viewed the body Friday and many attended the funeral.
