NEWPORT
Daniel E Thatcher, 65, a brother of Frank Thatcher, the
Democratic nominee for Sheriff, died yesterday after a three weeks illness.
Typhoid fever ws the cause of death. The deceased was born and raised in
Alexandria and lived in that vicinity all his life.
He leaves a wife, three daughters and one son.
